BESKRIVELSE FRA IMPORTØR OG PRODUSENTEN
“This coffee is processed at Kaguyu Factory, which is managed by the Inoi Farmers’ Cooperative Society. Perched at 1400 masl, Kaguyu Coffee Factory is located in Inoi North, Kaguyu sub-location, Kirinyaga County. Kirinyaga County is positioned approximately 192 kilometers northeast of Nairobi, sharing borders with the renowned Nyeri and Embu Counties. The region offers favorable conditions for coffee cultivation, featuring mineral-rich red volcanic loam soils and the elevated altitudes characteristic of the area.
The operations of Kaguyu Coffee Factory are overseen by a dedicated factory manager, Wilson Wanjohi. Along with the support of additional staff members, he manages various tasks including the weighing of coffee, selection and grading processes, disbursing payments to farmers, and addressing the farmers’ needs.”
